COMMON WELLNESS TEST PANELS

Celiac Disease Panel
Anti-Endomysial Ab, Gliadin (DP) IgG, Ab, Gliadin (DP) IgA, Ab
Collection: Blood
Pre-test: Drink plenty of water.
LABS:
Estimated Lab Cost (Self-pay): $105
Typical lab results: 1 to 3 days
This panel is used to help determine whether one has celiac disease and to evaluate the effectiveness of a gluten-free diet.
Celiac disease is a gluten enteropathy occurring in both children and adults. The disease is probably underdiagnosed in that it may affect as much as 1% of the population in the US. The condition is characterized by a sensitivity to gluten (found in wheat, barley, and rye) that causes inflammation and atrophy of the villi of the small intestine, malabsorption, etc. This sensitivity to gluten may also be seen in dermatitis herpetiformis. Strict avoidance of gluten in the diet will control disease activity, and antibodies to serum markers will disappear with time.

Cholesterol (Lipid) Panel
HDL, LDL, Total Cholesterol, Triglycerides
Collection: Blood
Pre-test: Drink plenty of water. It is recommended to go 12 hours without eating and avoid alcohol for 24 hours before the test.
LABS:
Estimated Lab Cost (Self-pay): $20
Typical lab results: 1 to 3 days
PANEL INCLUDES:
Total Cholesterol - Cholesterol is a type of fat, found in your blood produced by your body and also comes from the foods that come from animals that you eat or genetic conditions. Cholesterol is needed by your body to maintain the health of your cells. Too much cholesterol leads to coronary artery disease.
HDL - HDL cholesterol is 'good cholesterol' that moves throughout the bloodstream removing harmful bad cholesterol from where it doesn't belong. High HDL levels reduce the risk for heart disease, however low levels increase the risk.
LDL - High levels are linked to an increased risk of heart and blood vessel disease, including coronary artery disease, heart attack and death. Reducing LDL levels is a major treatment target for cholesterol-lowering medications.
Triglycerides - Elevated in obese or diabetic patients, a person's triglyceride level increases from eating simple sugars or drinking alcohol and is associated with heart and blood vessel disease.

Complete Blood Count with Differential (CBC with Diff)
Evaluation of cells: white blood cells (WBCs), red blood cells (RBCs), and platelets (PLTs)
Collection: Blood
Pre-test: Drink plenty of water.
LABS:
Estimated Lab Cost (Self-pay): $12
Typical lab results: 1 to 3 days
ABOUT THE TEST:
A complete blood count (CBC) is a test that measures the cells that make up your blood: red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. A CBC is used to measure the following components of your blood:
- white blood cells, which help stop infections
- red blood cells, which carry oxygen
- platelets, which help clot the blood
- hemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that contains oxygen
- hematocrit, the ratio of red blood cells to plasma in your blood
The blood differential test can detect abnormal or immature cells. It can also diagnose an infection, inflammation, leukemia, or an immune system disorder. You may want this test if you have unusual bleeding or bruising, infection or inflammation, weakness and tiredness that doesn’t go away. These may be symptoms of anemia.

Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP)
Albumin, Alk Phos, ALT, AST, BUN, Calcium, Chloride, CO2, Creatinine, Electrolytes, Glucose, Liver Tests (Hepatic), Potassium, Sodium, Total Bilirubin, Total Protein
Collection: Blood
Pre-test: Drink plenty of water. It is recommended to go 12 hours without eating. Drink plenty of water.
LABS:
Estimated Lab Cost (Self-pay): $19
Typical lab results: 1 to 3 days
ABOUT THE TEST:
The comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) is a frequently ordered panel of 16 tests that provides information about your metabolism, including the health of your kidneys and liver, electrolyte and acid/base balance as well as levels of blood glucose and blood proteins. Abnormal results, and especially combinations of abnormal results, can indicate a problem that needs to be addressed.
PANEL INCLUDES:
Calcium - one of the most important minerals in the body; it is essential for the proper functioning of muscles, nerves, and the heart and is required in blood clotting and in the formation of bones.
Glucose - energy source for the body; a steady supply must be available for use, and a relatively constant level of glucose must be maintained in the blood.
Electrolytes
- Sodium - vital to normal body processes, including nerve and muscle function
- Potassium - vital to cell metabolism and muscle function
CO2 (carbon dioxide, bicarbonate) - helps to maintain the body's acid-base balance (pH) - Chloride - helps to regulate the amount of fluid in the body and maintain the acid-base balance
Kidney Tests
- BUN (blood urea nitrogen) - waste product filtered out of the blood by the kidneys; conditions that affect the kidney have the potential to affect the amount of urea in the blood.
- Creatinine - waste product produced in the muscles; it is filtered out of the blood by the kidneys so blood levels are a good indication of how well the kidneys are working.
Liver Tests
- ALP (alkaline phosphatase) - enzyme found in the liver and other tissues, bone; elevated levels of ALP in the blood are most commonly caused by liver disease or bone disorders.
- ALT (alanine amino transferase, also called SGPT) - enzyme found mostly in the cells of the liver and kidney; a useful test for detecting liver damage
- AST (aspartate amino transferase, also called SGOT) - enzyme found especially in cells in the heart and liver; also a useful test for detecting liver damage
- Bilirubin - waste product produced by the liver as it breaks down and recycles aged red blood cells
Proteins
- Albumin - a small protein produced in the liver; the major protein in serum
- Total Protein - measures albumin as well as all other proteins in serum

Electrolytes Panel
Chloride, CO2, Potassium, Sodium
Collection: Blood
Pre-test: Drink plenty of water.
LABS:
Estimated Lab Cost (Self-pay): $13
Typical lab results: 1 to 3 days
PANEL INCLUDES:
Electrolytes are minerals, such as sodium and potassium, that are found in the body. They keep your body's fluids in balance and help keep your body working normally, including your heart rhythm, muscle contraction, and brain function.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a waste product made when the body breaks down food for energy (metabolism). It takes the form of bicarbonate in the blood, so this part of the test is sometimes called a bicarbonate test. Bicarbonate helps your blood stay at the right pH.
Chloride is one of the most important electrically charged minerals. It works with other electrolytes, such as sodium and potassium, to help balance acids and bases in your body.
It also helps move fluid in and out of your cells. So if your chloride levels drop, you can become sick and dehydrated. If your levels are too high, it often means your kidneys aren’t working properly.

Gastric Distress & Gluten Sensitivity Panel
Tests for a variety of viruses, bacteria, and parasites that can cause infections of the digestive system
Collection: Blood
Pre-test: Drink plenty of water.
LABS:
Estimated Lab Cost (Self-pay): $239
Typical lab results: 2 to 3 days
ABOUT THE TEST:
Gastric distress is a group of digestive disorders that are associated with lingering symptoms of constipation, bloating, reflux, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain and cramping. These gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms can be caused by infections, food intolerances, food allergies or autoimmune diseases.
There are no specific tests for diagnosing gastric distress and non-celiac gluten sensitivity. The path to diagnosing these conditions consists of a comprehensive test that identifies key allergic and autoimmune conditions that may be the cause of unexplained symptoms. The test can confirm the presence of antibodies in commonly associated conditions that could be the cause of gastric distress or gluten sensitivity, including the common markers of celiac disease, gastritis and food allergies.
PANEL INCLUDES:
H.PYLORI Ab.,IgG, H.PYLORI Ab.,IgA, H.PYLORI Ab.,IgM, TRANSGLUTAMINASE,IgG,Ab, TRANSGLUTAMINASE,IgA,Ab, Anti-Endomysial Ab, Gluten, GLIADIN(DP) IgG,Ab, GLIADIN(DP) IgA,Ab
NOTE:
If H. Pylori (G,A,M) and Celiac Testing (tTG, IgA/IgG, Gliadin IgA/IgG, Anti-Endomysial Ab and Gluten) are normal then Peanut, Shrimp, Scallop, Wheat, Sesame seed, Walnut, Hazelnut, Cow's Milk, Codfish, Soybean, and eggwhite will be ran.

Complete Blood Count - A CBC is a blood test used to evaluate your overall health and detect a wide range of disorders, including anemia, infection and leukemia. A complete blood count test measures several components and features of your blood, including red blood cells, which carry oxygen to all the cells in the body, and white blood cells which are the most important player of your immune system.
C-Reactive protein, quantitative - Inflammation in your body increases the level of C-reactive protein (CRP) in your blood, possibly indicating an infection or other condition.
HgbA1c - The hemoglobin blood test is used to evaluate glucose levels in the blood over the 2 to 3 months previous to the test.
Homocysteine - Homocysteine is a common amino acid in your blood that you get it mostly from eating meat. High levels of it are linked to early development of heart disease and it is associated with low levels of vitamins B6, B12, and folate, as well as renal disease.
Rheumatoid arthritis factor - Rheumatoid factors are proteins produced by your immune system that can attack healthy tissue in your body. High levels of rheumatoid factor in the blood are most often associated with autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis and Sjogren's syndrome.
Sedimentation rate - The sed rate test can help diagnose conditions associated with acute and chronic inflammation, including infections, cancers, and autoimmune diseases. It measures how fast red blood cells fall to the bottom of a tube. Inflammation creates proteins that make red blood cells fall more quickly.
